yeah i felt that way about tone at 1st then i got me a dimebucker and had a pickup specialist play with the specs of it and now it has very tonal qualities, as for my dean im a huge megadeth fan so i got the dave sigs in a dave mustaine vmntx and that is just a good sound one day hopefully soon ill have a song uploaded that shows off my abilities as well as my sound, i got a spider 3 which is already got some tone on the hd 147 but i agree with u that the tonal quality hust isnt perfect but i got it in a fashion where i just dig it

ya...depends on what Seymours your using...like for example,
if you get a high output pickup like an invader or a JB or a dimebucker or a hot rail...it will take your sound and saturate the fucking shit out of it...and can sometimes ruin your whole tone. on the other hand you can get alot of good tone out of a screamin deamon or a 59er or a DM pickup they make...its a low output that acts like a high output. they are a little sterile for my liking but there bright like a high output and dont have the ridiculous amount of noisy saturation that some players just dont like. myself...i have all high output pickups in my guitars, and i like my amp to have the capability to cheese grade your face into shit...that doesn't mean i use it all the time...i just like the head room, and the option.
so, in short, a Seymour wont dull your tone if your not using the right one...what i mean by a processed sound means it is a computer generated emulation of a tube or solid state sound from other amps and cab sounds that just dont own up to the real thing, it took me a while to give up my Line 6, but when it came down to it...i only liked 2 models on the head, and all the rest of the crap that on there just never got used, if i want a wah...i want to pick one out, and when i want a boost, i want to sift through all of them, not be stuck with whats on the head...i found my sound by having that head, so im not dogging on your head at all, dont get me wrong, everyone has there own idea about what sounds good and what sucks...but for me, i had to stick to something that is simple enough for me to create sounds and tones, but gives me the option to change my sound at the drop of a dime if i dont like the effect or pedal pattern...so, have fun with that amp, but i can almost guarantee that when you get a little older, and a little more savvy about tone, and a little bit tierd of messing with processors, you will find that simple is better, but i could be wrong...damn...i just went on a serious rant....lol

Yeah it is a little over processed but i found that with seymour duncans, for some odd reason takes alot of the edge off of it

ya, i use a Randall Warhead, i run it through a Randall XL cab...that thing can sound like thin lizzy, or it can shred your face right of...
but i had a line 6 hd 147 for a long time and it did just fine, i just got tired of the over processed sound...it was so compact though, and louder than shit!!!

I love the blazers, but i got my line 6 hd75 that b tears up, i play anything from crystaline clean to sinsanely heavy metal and it sounds great with both, especially sweep picking.

dude, i totally recorded that guitar with my buddys 15w peavey blazer 158...i almost like the sound better on that little thing than any head ive ever used.

its in e, e major for the first part, then switches to e minor for the last part.
so i chose to kind of run through like 6 modes, or something like that, i cant really pin down which ones because i kind of speed through the neck for a lot of that first section.
the second section i stay e minor pentatonic and wank the bar for that hanging harmonic dime squeel thing.
