My Musical Knowledge

Electric GuitarYears Playing: 44Proficiency: Advanced
Steel String Acoustic GuitarYears Playing: 44Proficiency: Advanced
Bass GuitarYears Playing: 44Proficiency: Intermediate
Violin/FiddleYears Playing: 39Proficiency: Intermediate

My Approach to Learning and Playing:

Whatever it takes. I have read music since I started in the school band in the 5th grade in 1965 playing the trombone and learned guitar on my own using both reading music, tabs and by ear, long before the internet was a gleam in someones eye. I still learn a lot from charts and tabs, the learning will never be complete.
My Musical Education:

School band from the 5th grade through graduation. 571st Missouri Air Natl. Guard band 1974-1978.
My Musical Influences:

More influenced by styles of music than individuals. Country, big band/swing, classic rock ´n roll before it was classic with a little folk thrown in for good measure.
My Learning Resources:

Books, radio, charts, tabs, internet
About My Music:
Mostly play in church or by myself. Occasionally with a group of friends.

I need to make a correction in my profile. When I filled it out the years listed for when you started playing didn't go back far enough....hehehe. I started guitar in 1963 and this month, Feb., 2012, will make 49 years I've been playing guitar.
